New course launches on open innovation

openinnovationbulbI’ve been playing around recently with the Skillshare platform.  If you’re not familiar with it, the site is a learning platform that allows people to either construct a course and publish it online, or for people to consume the aforementioned courses.

Anyway, long story short, I’ve bitten the bullet and put together a course on open innovation, and in particular the planning side of it (a follow up may come on the implementation side of innovation).  The course will look at areas such as:

  • the motivations of participants
  • some of the intellectual property considerations
  • what to look for in a software platform
  • how to evaluate ideas
  • the role of the community manager

and a few other topics spread across seven video lessons.  At the end of the course, students should have a fleshed out plan for their own open innovation project that they can then use to get started.

Suffice to say, whilst there have been over 1,000 blogs published here on this kind of topic, getting in front of a camera is kind of a new thing, so I’m sure it will evolve over time, and all feedback is very welcome.

You can sign up to the course here, and if you use the code ‘ADIBLOG’ you can get a 10% discount.  There’s a promo video below with a wee bit more info about the course.
