MARKETER (Jun 02 - Present) My
role at StormForce Web Design involved the marketing of all sites designed
by the company. This included the promotion of the sites via the
search engines, pay-per-click engines, directories, affiliate programs to
mention but a few. The sites worked on varied from e-commerce sites
to 'brochure ware' sites and all witnessed significant increases in
traffic as a result of my involvement. Union
Jack Online Ltd Isle of Wight ONLINE
BUSINESS MANAGER (Feb 02 - Present) My
role at Union Jack Online Ltd incorporated the full utilization of the
companies online operations. The
companies principal operation is the Buying-British.co.uk
website. The site sells products made in Britain using British parts
and labour. My role involved the optimisation of the site for the
search engines, management of the affiliate scheme and the provision of
offline marketing strategies. The
company also operates British-Online.com.
The site is a UK shopping portal providing visitors with independent
reviews of some of the leading British online retailers. My role
involves the partnering with select merchants to maximise the commercial
potential of the site. I also produce the newsletter marketing
campaigns for the site. Osborne
Middle School Isle

TECHNICIAN. (Nov
2001 - May 2002) My
role at Osborne covered
many facets of IT coverage in schools. I oversaw the installation of the
new network connecting the entire school. This network included
over 30 brand new workstations and
was
based around Windows NT. I also had
an input in assisting teachers in the use of IT in the classroom and
provide suitable avenues to progress the learning process. Finally I was
involved in general troubleshooting and assisting classroom activities
where IT is involved. Isle

TECHNICIAN (Sep
2001 - Nov 2001) I
am responsible for maintenance of the educational networking lab facility
at the College. This includes the establishment of appropriate classroom
facilites and the maintenance of facilities ranging from networking
equipment (switches and hubs) to server software (NT, SQL and IIS) for the
use in the teaching of networking fundamentals. Cowes

ASSISTANT (May
2001 - Sep 2001)
I am responsible for a number of computer
related tasks in position at Cowes High. This includes installing and
maintaining the schools array of computing equipment .
Some
of my hardware projects have included the installation of the computers in
the schools new learning support centre and reequipping the schools
multimedia music studio;
The school comprises of a comprehensive range of computing facilities,
ranging from over 200 PC's to over 100 Macs. The network is managed using
Windows 2000. The PC's are served by SQL Server, Exchange Server and IIS
whilst the Macs have their own OSX server. There are also considerable
networking wares on site, including switches (typically Cisco 1930),
routers (typically Cisco 2500) and hubs. The school backbone consists of
multi mode fibre which change to Cat 5 UTP for the horizontal cabling.
Finally there are numerous multi-media facilities available to students,
such as video conferencing.

OFFICER
(January
1999 - May 1999) The
position was at an Isle of Wight based Internet venture. The web site was
due to be a tourism site for visitors to the Island, encompassing aspects
of tourism such as accommodation and entertainment. My principal role was
to identify demand and the desired contents for the site. I was also
involved in listing the site on the various search engines and creating a
web presence for the site generally. Unfortunately due to financial
difficulties the site failed to fulfill its ambitions and has since ceased

COORDINATOR
(March
1997 - December 1997) The
position involved implementing IT into the management processes at the car
repair business. Firstly an IT system had to be recommended and
subsequently implemented into the business. Secondly the accounting
process had to be digitalised by using Microsoft Excel. Whilst this was
being performed the staff were being trained in the use of the new system.
Upon the full training of the staff in the operation of the system my

2001 - May 2002) This
is a voluntary arrangement whereby I answer questions asked by people on
subjects such as Systems Analysis, E-commerce and Internet Marketing. My profile
contains the questions asked me, my responses to them and ratings given
them by the users. Seaclose
Swimming Club Isle of Wight SWIMMING
COACH AND MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICER (June
1996 - June 2002) The
position involves the coaching of up to 15 children aged between 6 and 12
years of age. The post requires excellent motivational, counseling and
diplomatic skills in addition to an extensive knowledge of swimming. In
addition to coaching I took charge of the team on several galas, which
produced pleasing results for all of the swimmers.
In addition to this I write reports of all Seaclose events and reviews of
their galas which are then printed in the sports section of the local
newspaper. The position is performed on Saturday mornings and is
voluntary. |
