How we review websites:
We review each site across what we believe to be the three most important categories needed to make an informed decision as to whether to part with your hard earned cash. Our ratings for each category are given out of 5 'stars' which are as follows...

PRICE
We rate a website's prices by comparing them to prices charged for similar goods found both on the high street and on the internet. A low rating usually indicates that the prices you'll find will probably be quite expensive. An average rating means that the prices compare well to other high street / website retailers , while a maximum rating of 5 stars means that the prices are some of the best to be had.
EASE OF USE
How easy is it to find what I want? - This is the question we ask ourselves when we consider the review rating for this category. A site getting a 5 star rating usually means that within a couple of clicks you can expect to be browsing what you want. An average rating in this category means that the site is okay, you'll find what you want, but how you get there may not be via the most intuative means. A low rating normally indicates that the site isn't very well thought / laid out and finding products that fit your requirements is going to take a little longer than the 10 minutes you originally planned for.
SERVICE
Probably the hardest category to quantify, we try to give a balanced opinion by reviewing across the following areas: delivery times, customer service and quality of products. We then look at other important issues, things like the website's reputation amongst fellow internet users and the amount of literature that is available to you as an end customer. A site receiving a low rating in this category means that you may encounter problems if you purchase something and it all goes wrong, i.e. you could be waiting up to a week for a customer service reply or you might find it hard to find any useful information. A high rating usually means that you'll not only be informed of your order's progress at every step along the way but you'll receive a follow up to see if your order arrived safely. Other reasons for getting a high rating include: excellent customer service (available via phone/email, response times of less than 24hrs, friendly helpful staff) and easily obtainable company literature written in 'plain english' (privacy statements, terms & conditions, ordering & delivery information).
